Skin Tracker Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully. These Terms govern your use of the Skin Tracker (“Application”) mobile application provided by Batuhan Akın (“Developer”, “we”, “us”).

Our website is located at appecs.com. These Terms are available at appecs.com/skintracker/terms-of-service.

By downloading or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. IMPORTANT MEDICAL DISCLAIMER

Skin Tracker is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice.

The Application is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any skin disease, condition, or ailment. The Application is solely a personal tracking tool for aesthetic and cosmetic purposes.

No information provided in the Application, including any artificial intelligence (AI) insights provided under the Premium membership, can replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

If you have any concerns, questions, or existing conditions related to your skin health, you must immediately consult a qualified medical professional (such as a dermatologist). Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice based on information obtained from the Application.

2. Application Content (Blog Posts)

The Application provides blog posts for informational purposes.

  • Source: The text content of these blog posts is compiled from the “gov.tr” public websites of the Republic of Turkey and publications from globally accepted public health institutions. This content is for general information only.

  • Imagery: Images used in the blog posts are generated using artificial intelligence tools and are for representative purposes only.

  • Warranty: We make no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this information.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

a) Membership Types: The Application offers a free version (“Free”) and paid subscriptions (“Premium”) with additional features. Premium membership may be billed weekly, monthly, or annually.

b) Premium Features: Premium members can receive skin health insights from a third-party AI service that analyzes their uploaded photos, notes, and tracked factors.

c) Payments and Renewal: Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (“Stores”) and are subject to the Stores’ terms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Subscriptions can be managed in your device’s Store settings.

d) Service Management: We use a third-party service, RevenueCat, to provide the technical management of subscriptions (purchase confirmation, status tracking).

4. User Content and Data Storage

a) Content Ownership: You own the photos, notes, and tracked factors you upload to the Application (“User Content”).

b) Storage: Your User Content may be stored both on your device (local) and on cloud-based Firebase Storage and Firebase Firestore services.

c) License You Grant Us: To enable the Application to provide services to you (storing your data, backing it up, and, if you are a Premium member, performing AI analysis), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and process your User Content (including transmitting it to the third-party AI service).

5. Third-Party Services

The Application relies on third-party services such as Firebase (Google) and RevenueCat to function. These services are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the interruptions or actions of third-party services.

6. Usage Restrictions

While using the Application, you may not:

  • Use the Application for any illegal purposes.

  • Attempt to damage the Application’s infrastructure or reverse-engineer it.

  • Use another person’s account without authorization.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy or reliability of the insights provided by the AI.

8. Limitation of Liability

Batuhan Akın shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or punitive damages (including data loss, incorrect AI insights, or medical issues) arising from the use or inability to use the Application.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon being posted on this page (appecs.com/skintracker/terms-of-service).
